Hello again, this is Ayca, pronounced as “I-cha”.

I'm an Istanbulite UX, UI, and graphic designer living in Paris. Over the years I've worked for numerous global and local accounts, including Danone, Audi, Burger King, Land Rover, Turkcell, Wall's, Fiat, and Mercedes-Benz as a copywriter.

Somewhere on the road, I studied lyric writing at Berklee, and graphic design at Shillington, and just by googling it taught myself how to hand-print with an old-school 4-station screen-printing machine. As an entrepreneur, I founded the tickable design studio "Literally Yours" in Kaikoura, and co-founded the ready-to-drink café drinks start-up "French Express" in Paris.

In 2022, I studied UX/UI Design at Ironhack Paris because I wanted to combine all these hard & soft skills I've gained as a copywriter, designer, and entrepreneur in a brand new "problem-solving" profession.

I like typographic t-shirts, frequently unasked questions, cats, dogs, and long-distance walks. I have a special talent for songwriting, and one day I might be turning that into a profession. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

Last but not least, I'm the momager of 3 female cats and a tiny male human.

DID YOU KNOW?

I once won the "most appropriately dressed" prize at a horse race in New Zealand.

I know, who would have guessed? I was just hanging everything I found at home around my neck or pinning them on my hat, thinking no one would judge me on a day like this. The prize was 500 NZ dollars, and I surely didn't spend a dime of it on a dress.

I sometimes take a popular song and write irrelevant lyrics on it.

Like this:

Personas, site maps, and CSD matrix,
Mid-fi and Hi-fi and prototype testing,
Multi-state screens and heuristics,
These are a few of my favorite things.

I came to Paris with five (5) cats.

And they names are:
